“If it wasn’t for JRC I would either be locked up, on the sidewalk, [or] probably dead. But since I’ve been here, I have improved myself on things I couldn’t do.”

David

“When I visited JRC, I took a tour and I said it’s a fun place, it’s fun. I made the choice that I wanted to go here. I say, if your parent will let you choose it, choose JRC.”

Near the end of his tenure at JRC, David celebrated a full year of passing his behavioral contracts, with no major inappropriate behaviors. He held two jobs in the local community and looks forward to starting community college soon.

Jessica

“The part of JRC that helped me was controlling my feelings and my actions. Academically, I have good grades, my credits have gotten higher. This program really helps you in academics.

It helped me grow up. From my point of view I would say that it’s good. It’s really good (JRC).”

Marcos

“Before I came to JRC, I was having many problems at home and in school. I was on many medications. One thing JRC did that helped me a lot was take me off medication because I was like a walking zombie. JRC helped me get a high school diploma.”

After finishing at JRC, and going on to receive food service training, Marcos worked as an assistant chef in JRC’s kitchen, helping to feed the students and staff every day. While with JRC, he earned his ServSafe Certification, confirming that he has trained in and is knowledgeable of all federal and state regulations about food handling in commercial kitchens. Marcos is happily married and the proud father of three children.

Felix

“I’m in the 12th grade now; when I first came I was in the 7th so I went a long way in a little bit time. JRC has helped me control myself for one. JRC helped me make decisions for myself.”

Mia

“I had a really rough relationship with my mom. After freshman year of high school it started getting bad and I was failing all my classes. JRC taught me a lot of self-control. Me and my mom’s relationship is now like the best. It’s not even that it’s better, it’s like the best.”
